Ooredoo Wraps Up Ramadan 2025 Initiatives, Strengthening Social Responsibility Efforts

From sports sponsorships to community engagement, Ooredoo reaffirms its commitment to giving back

Doha, Qatar

Ooredoo Qatar, the country’s leading telecommunications operator, has successfully concluded its ‘Experience More this Ramadan with Ooredoo’ campaign, marking a month filled with impactful initiatives that brought communities together, provided essential support, and enriched the spirit of the holy month.

As the official partner of Rafeeq Al Khair, Ooredoo distributed essential food baskets and Iftar meals, ensuring families across Qatar could share in the blessings of Ramadan. The initiative also included Iftar distributions at Al Duhail Sports Club, in collaboration with the Rafeeq Al Khair team and Shabab Lad3m Platform, reinforcing the values of generosity and solidarity.

Ooredoo’s dedication to fostering inclusivity was also evident in its support for Al Shafallah Center for People with Disabilities, creating a memorable Garangao celebration for individuals with disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. The event featured interactive activities and prizes, bringing joy and encouragement to participants.

The company further embraced cultural traditions by participating in Garangao festivities at Boulehdan Museum, in collaboration with Rafeeq Al Khair, fostering connections through shared heritage.

As part of its commitment to education and spiritual enrichment, Ooredoo served as the platinum sponsor of the DOOH Holy Quran Competition, an initiative recognising talented Quranic reciters with prizes of up to QR 100,000.

Ooredoo also played a key role in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle during Ramadan by sponsoring major sporting events including the Alkass Padel Tournament, Ekbes Beach Volleyball Championship, and Doha Cycling Events. Additionally, the company served as the official telecom sponsor of the e-School Olympic Ramadan Tournament, nurturing young talents and encouraging a spirit of sportsmanship.

Adding an element of entertainment, Ooredoo collaborated with Rafeeq to present Rafeeq Al-Haz, a daily interactive programme hosted by Abdullah Al-Ghafri. Streamed across Rafeeq’s social media platforms, the show captivated audiences with competitions, entertainment, and exciting prizes, enhancing the Ramadan experience for viewers.
Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari, Senior Director of Marketing Communications at Ooredoo Qatar, commented: “Our Ramadan initiatives reflect our deep-rooted commitment to giving back and making a meaningful impact. By supporting charitable efforts, and cultural and sporting events, we aimed to bring communities together and reinforce our dedication to social responsibility and the well-being of society.”

Looking ahead, Ooredoo remains steadfast in its mission to support and uplift communities, continuing to drive positive change and foster connections that extend far beyond Ramadan.
